Married

Awake in your arms I watch
our zodiac wheeling its slow
constellations around our bed--
the Writer, the Mathematician,
the Rugby Player, the Dog,
the Broken Window, the Mended Fence,
the Sandcastle, the Crabapple Tree,
the Sapphire Ring, the Stargazer Lily,
the Ferryboat, the Gondolier--
and my heart comes full circle
